Talapatram - Software for Typing in Indian Languages

To know about me, visit my profile page. There you will find what I am doing now and what I did in the past.

UNICODE FONTS: Incorrect font display might cause some problems in reading non-english pages. I have made all Indian Language works (telugu and hindi) using Unicode fonts. So you should be able to view them correctly on all the machines that support Unicode well. All PCs, on which MS Office is installed, will have all Indian Language Unicode fonts installed on them. Microsoft ships all such fonts with MS Office (Gautami-Telugu, Mangal-Hindi). If for any reason you are unable to see Indian text, please see below for possible solution.

In Windows XP go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options. Click on the tab Languages. Check the text box saying 'Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages'. Depending on your particular installation of windows it might ask for a setup CD or it can install necessary fonts from setup files' store. Doing this, you should be able to see all Indian languages' text without any faults. If you can't, email me and I will provide you with PDF files. Alternatively have a look at my software for typing in Indian Languages with on-screen keyboard layouts. You can also read my comprehensive Tutorial on Typing In Indian Languages.

On this website you will also find some Tutorials that I wrote on my own. You can also find some interesting things that might either let you pass some time or get you into seriously devoted reading.
